About Baywood Foundation
Founded in 2009 and incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2014, Baywood Foundation provides healthcare services and access to economic opportunities to vulnerable populations and at-risk communities in Nigeria. Baywood Foundation which is also incorporated by the State of Florida, USA and has 501c3 status is designed to support populations and communities at negative edges of household income, unemployment, healthcare access, illiteracy, marginalization and exclusion.
We believe government leadership and strong institutions are needed for systemic solutions to above challenges. However communities can be privately supported and guided towards finding sustainable solutions. Such framework will require stakeholder inclusion in intervention design, thoughtful and iterative implementation, data gathering, as well as impact sustainability modelling. Our goal is to have communities and at-risk populations that become self-sustaining beyond project timelines.
Our strategy relies on strong partnerships with donor organizations, multilateral institutions, and International foundations. As a learning organization the Foundation quickly adapts to new and innovative approaches to ensure efficient, effective and sustainable impact on all our projects and programmes.
