ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY

Baywood Foundation is built on the principles of openness, and responsible leadership. We understand the level of reputational capital required in the work we do, and our activities are carried out with that consciousness. Culturally we expect our partners, and commercial suppliers to maintain similar level of reputational awareness.

TEAMWORK

Open and cohesive relationships are encouraged across all teams at Baywood Foundation. Developing solutions for at-risk communities and vulnerable groups is not always an easy task. Therefore we support initiatives that emphasize knowledge update, team bonding, and interpersonal relationships. The culture of teamwork at Baywood Foundation is democratic and tolerant of innovative or out of the box thinking.

COMPETENCE

How we learn and execute at Baywood Foundation is important to us. We encourage individual learning and confidence building. However, competence is not necessarily emphasized at individual level. It is viewed systemically across teams, projects and programmes’ implementation. Our objective while we encourage individual growth is an integrated intellectual environment, with healthy interdependence and respect amongst individuals.

INNOVATION

Our idea of innovation in Baywood Foundation is doing more with less in different ways. It connotes rigour in task planning and execution. The objectives of innovation to us are consistent operational efficiency and effectiveness, which can be measured against previous performances within the organization or in the larger NGO community.

SUSTAINABILITY

All interventions from Baywood Foundation are designed to continue independently into the future. However, we recognize that without institutional support and policy angles, such goal is at risk. Therefore at Baywood Foundation, we lay the groundwork at advocacy stage of our programmes. Our interest at that stage is to build enough coalition on identified need-areas through an inclusive design process, public policy actors inclusion, effective feedback channels, community participation and integration of social enterprise solutions.

IMPACT

The impact is the ultimate goal of everything we do at Baywood Foundation. The mentality of impact is built into the entire process of our interventions from design to execution. However, we know the impact is oftentimes not sustainable. Consequently, we developed an impact sustainability framework that is measurable, and can be improved given actionable insights from data.
